"Weeeelll doggies!" According to legend, this variety was named for the Grand Ole' Opry star of the 1970s. The variety seemingly disappeared until the early 1990s when seeds were found in a toolshed. Abundant crops of smooth, crimson beefsteaks (app. 10-16 oz.) with distinctive, well-balanced, rich, sweet flavor. Good choice for a canning, sauce, salad or juice. Disease and crack resistant. Late season (app. 85 days from transplant to maturity), producing well until frost. Seeds from and photo by © @TomatoFest
