Cap! Cups! Our apron worn by Ji Suk Yi and Sarah Jindra of WGN’s Spotlight Chicago!

What variety of a sun-drenched, vine-ripened, hand-picked, heirloom tomato do you like?

A big, juicy Art Zaino beefsteak for your hamburger? Yellow Marble or Red Currant to eat by the handful? Super-sweet Black Cherry or Napa Chardonnay to round out a salad? Pink Panther or Gothic Princess to dazzle your guests? Whatever your taste, you’ll find a luscious tomato you’ll love.

Our plant shop is closed until Spring.
Check out our cap, cups, apron and gift cards!

Looking for an ideal gift for that gardening fanatic who loves, totally loves, growing tomatoes? Give them an apron. Or a cap. Or a cup emblazoned with the Green Zebra variety. Or the 2024 collectible Rudolph the red (tomato) nosed reindeer cup. Can’t decide? Give them a gift card they can use for these wonderful products or tomato plants in Spring. Click here

I’m Bob Zeni, the Chicago Tomato Man

My goal in life is to introduce everyone to the absolutely stunning flavor of a homegrown, hand-picked, vine-ripened, heirloom tomato. The 150 varieties I sold in 2024 were a stellar range of colors, shapes, sizes, textures and flavors. We’re planning for even more varieties in 2025!

Thank you for helping me make the world safe from those tasteless travesties that supermarkets sell.

Every year we provide hundreds of plants to non-profit organizations working in neighborhoods with limited fresh food options and community gardens that donate their harvest to food banks. (Photos: ©Gardeneers and ©GingkoOrganicGardens)
